Miss McMillan, A.C.E. tutor, gave an outline of classes on dressmaking and arts, to be started in the district. A collection was taken up for a presentation to Mrs Ker. who has left the Institute. Mrs Wilson presided over a successful “ Bring and Buy” sale in aid of soldiers’ panels, enabling the institute to send the proceeds tor two parcels. Mesdames Gumming and A. Brown were appointed delegates at the council meeting in Gore on May 23. The president

gave an interesting and instructive demonstration on making moccasins out of felt hats.
