COMMITTEE'S SUGGESTIONS APPROVAL OF CONVOYS (Rec. 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 10. The Committee to Defend America by Aiding the Allies issued a new pronouncement of its basic policy calling on American people to urge Mr Roosevelt and Congress to enact immediately the following measures: Approval of convoys; a declaration of a state of national emergency; the freezing of Axis assets, and the controlling of subversive propaganda and sabotage emanating from In Axis Consulates, including the severance of diplomatic relations if necessary; effective aid to China and a rigid embargo on Japan, giving a clear indication of America's determination to prevent the conquest of Singapore and the East Indies.
