ADMIRAL DARLAN
NEXT HEAD OF STATE PROVISIONS IN DECREE VICHY, Feb. 11. (Received Feb. 11, at 11 p.m.) A decree has been issued providing for Admiral Darlan to take over the duties of head cf the State should Marshal Petain “ be prevented for any reason from fulfilling his functions." Failing Admiral Darlan a person to be nominated by a majority of Cabinet will carry on.
