BOMB-PROOF SHELTERS
PROVISION IN SYDNEY THE UNDERGROUND RAILWAYS SYDNEY, Feb. 11. The State Assistant, Minister, Mr H. L. Primrose, has been appointed Minister in Charge of the National Emergency Services. Announcing this, the Premier, Mr A, Mair, said the appointment was made in view of the urgency the work had now assumed. Already in New South Wales a valuable organisation has been developed. Bomb-proof shelter for more than 50,000 would be provided in Sydney’s underground railways system. 1 Shelters giving protection against blast splinters and debris were ready to b* erected.
