APPEAL. COURT’S DECISION TERM OF IMPRISONMENT LONDON, Feb. 10. The Court of Criminal Appeal, giving judgment in camera, quashed the conviction of O’Grady on two capital charges under the Treachery Act, but sentenced her to 14 years on the charges on which she was previously convicted, but not sentenced—namely, approaching a prohibited place and making a plan which might be useful to the enemy, also making a plan likely to be prejudicial to the defence of the realm, with intent to assist the enemy, also with possessing a document purporting to contain defence information, and also sabotage by cutting a telephone wire.

Mr Justice MacNaughton, at the Hampshire Assizes in December, sentenced to death Dorothy Pamela O’Grady (42), described as a housewife. under the Treacherj Act, the official Secrets Act, and the Defence Regulations.
