Canning, Wellington, that her son, Pilot, Officer Charles de Vic Halkett, who was reported missing on Septem-. ber 9, is now known to have been killed. . : " ' . ‘ '• Pilot Officer Halkett. who foas.. 24 years of age. was educated at Wellington College and Otago University, and was partly trained for the R.N.Z.A.F. before leaving New Zealand in April last to undergo further instruction in England.
