KING OF BULGARIA

A VISIT TO GERMANY TALKS WITH HERR HITLER NEWS CAUSES SENSATION (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) ROME. Nov. 18. (Received Nov. 19, at 10 p.m.) King Boris, of Bulgaria, paid a private visit to Germany and had a conversation with Herr Hitler at Berchtesgaden on Sunday. The Stefani agency says that King Boris left for Sofia immediately after the conversation. News of the meeting caused a sensation in Sofia. 1 The German News Agency apparently attaches little importance to

the interview, but Field-marshal Goering's paper, the National Zeitung, of Essen, states that the meeting, together with those beween Count Ciano, Senor Suner and Herr Hitler forged a new diplomacy aimed exclusively at Great Britain. Britain, however, the paper added, was aware of the fact. ANOTHER VISITOR SPANISH FOREIGN MINISTER (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Nov. 18. The Spanish Foreign Minister, Senor Suner, is again visiting Germany, and arrived at Berch'tesgaden, where before being received by Herr Hitler he was met by Herr von Ribbentrop, who, it is suggested, is probably anxious to reassure Senor Suner with regard to recent exchanges with M. Molotov. Count Ciano also arrived at Berchtesgaden for consultations. Senor Suner's journey halfway across Europe was halted at Paris to discuss with M. Laval problems French Morocco. A message from Berlin states that Count Ciano arrived at Salzburg and was met by Herr von Ribbentrop. Nazi Party officials and military officers. Senor Suner arrived at Berchtesgaden, Herr Hitler receiving Count Ciano and Senor Suner during the day. Presumably both separate and joint talks are planned. General Antonescu had scarcely returned to Bucharest from Rome when reports were circulated that he was going to Berlin on November 22 for a conference with Herr Hitler, who to-day conferred with Senor Suner. Count Ciano entertained them at a tea party.

General Antonescu telegraphed to Signor Mussolini: " The Rumanian Chief of State sends II Duce the heartiest and sincerest wishes and deep gratitude, and also expresses boundless admiration for the manner in which a member of the Roman family of nations prepares the way, not only for the life of his own great people, but for other nations." DIPLOMATIC ACTIVITY CONFERENCE AT VIENNA (By Wireless) LONDON, Nov. 19. (Received Nov. 20, at 1.15 a.m.) It is announced that the German and Italian Foreign Ministers are going to Vienna to meet two Hungarian statesmen "in a Central European conference which will deal with the new order in Europe." It is believed that Rumania and Bulgaria will be represented at the conference.
