POTENTIAL BOMBING OBJECTIVES IN NEAR EAST.—The feasibility of bombing the Rumanian oil fields and the ports of the Black Sea was mentioned by Mr George Slocombe in a broadcast talk from London last night. The above map gives an excellent idea of the distances which the aircraft, including planes of the Fleet Air Arm, would have to travel. Ploesti, in the heart of the oil fields, is about 150 miles north-west of Constanta.
