Mr J. McAra. after 30 years' residence at Lawrence, left yesterday to take UP his-residence at Waimate. At tie meetings of the Otago Land Board yesterday the chief clerk. Mr W. T. Spelman, was appointed auctioneer for the conduct of sales by auction of Crown lands. Mr N. M. Matheson. headmaster of the Tapanui District High School, left last week for the territorial training camp'at Addington. Mr E. D. Farrant will act as headmaster during Mr Matheson's absence. Mr H. L. Gibson, chairman of the Transport Committee of the City Council and Mr W. H. Mackenzie (tramways manager) left by the through express yesterday for Wellington, where they will be engaged on transport matters. ' . ____
