,to the editob Sir,—lt is not my intention to reply to a correspondent whose mame, is in doubt: he may have, ample' reasons for refraining from publishing it. Upon l^Vtr'.Robertson’s account of his actions and his inaccurate statistics I shall not comment, as your space is too valuable at the present time, but I would ask Mr Robertson if it is a fact that at the February meeting of the council he gave a speech for more ;, than - five minutes explaining how the. rating bore unjustly on the farmers of North East Harbour? How would ; he have voted then? Why this . somersault? It is easily answered. I said at the meeting on Thursday last that I would have .the division list published. Mr Robertson and others stoutly opposed mer hence my unprejudiced report. Let the ratepayers now judge for themselves.— I am. etc.. J. J. Nyhon.
