“SPRING MEETING”
BRIGHT IRISH COMEDY A particularly strong cast of experienced players and the excellent work of the producer (Miss Bessie Thomson) make “Spring Meeting” a most entertaining piece of work. Written by M. J. Farrell and John Perry, the play is full of rich Irish humour and Irish charm. The story is not a strong one, but that does not mar the play, for it passes on from one bright and entertaining episode to another. Set in County Tipperary, the play is portrayed by a cast of players who do not fail in giving it a delicious Irish, flavour. It is not a large cast; but each player fits his or her role like a glove. Mr Frank Lanyon gains the major honours as the butler, but the performances of Mrs Elsie Stephens. Mr Leslie Jack, Mrs Harriet Hamer, and Mr Roland Watson fall little short of that of the manservant. Mrs Molly Faulks, Miss Betty Rhodes. Mr John Hayward, and Mr Douglas Skene complete ihe cast. “ Spring Meeting ” will be presented in His Majesty’s Theatre to-night and again to-morrow night. .
