THE SOLDIER’S SACRIFICE

TO THE EDITOR Sir, —I have enlisted for war service, realising I have a duty to my country and to my wife and family. But no one has come forward to help to milk my cows, and I cannot pay anyone. I am milking 12 cows. I am wondering where the help is that the Government hrs so loudly advertised. Surelv I deserve some consideration, but it seems that my farm must go back and my cows be sold. Where are our spineless young single and married men now? Probably on the wharf getting a share of increased wages.— I am, etc.. For Freedom.
