APPEAL FROM VENEZUELA (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, June 14. On the instructions of the President of the Republic;, the Ministry for foreign Affairs for Venezuela has sent to all Venezuelan Embassies and Legations accredited to nations in America the following cablegram:— ■‘ln this moment when people *e fleeing from cities ruined by war and are suffering untold misery, it is the Americas’ inescapable duty to lend their help. This humanitarian object can be achieved by co-ordinating the Red Cross services of the various nations into one organisation to render immediate help to children, women, and men who are victims of war. Please consult- the Governments to which you are accredited to see if they would be prepared to suppor* any action taken with this purpose.” Favourable replies from many of the Governments consulted have already been received.
