Horticultural Show The annual show of the Dunstan Horticultural Society, held at Clyde on Saturday, was below the usual high standard, both as regards to the number of entries and, in the fruit section, in quality, the unfavourable weather of the past two weeks delaying the ripening of the fruit. The flower section made an attractive display, and the vegetable section, though not large, was of good quality, particularly the potatoes and tomatoes. The cooking section was better than the previous year. A new competition, garden plots for school children, was keenly contested, as was also the cooking class for girls. Mr I. R. Robertson, president of the society, thanked the judges and competitors for their help to the society.
