AUCKLAND CLUB
The Strand Salon was brightly decorated with spring flowers last Saturday when the Auckland Club held another of its popular socials. Members and friends were welcomed by Mr and Mrs E. S. Jeavons. An enjoyable programme of dancing, games and music was directed by Mr Pat. Griffin. The Monte Carlo competition was won by Mr Griffin and Mrs Finlayson, and the lucky spot by Mr and Mrs Osborne. Songs were attractively rendered by Miss Dorothy Mackay. and Mr W. Mitchell received an ovation for his novelty musical monologues. Among those present were Mr and Mrs E. S Jeavons, Mr and Mrs H. Chapman, Mr and Mrs C, C. Robertson. Mr and Mrs E. Griffin, Mr and Mrs J. Sinton, Mr and Mrs J. M. Patrick, Mr and Mrs H. H. Powell. Mr and Mrs B. Finlayson, Mr and Mrs F. J. Blue, Mr and Mrs H. Staton, Mr and Mrs H. H. Osborne, and Mrs Woolley. Misses J. McLean, M. McKague, M. Smith, D. Mackay and Bertenshaw. Messrs R. P. Griffin, B. Mitchell, and F. Pattillo.
