TWIN SISTERS' FUNERAL
TWO WELL-KNOWN ATHLETES REMARKABLE PUBLIC TRIBUTE ( (Per United Press Association; AUCKLAND, Oct. 3. The gathering at the funeral of Miss Doreen Lumley, the New Zealand champion sprinter and Empire Games repressntative, and ner twin sister. Miss Bernice Lumley, also a wellknown athlete, who were 'killed in a motor accident on Sunday, was one of the largest seen in Auckland for many years. .At the residence of the girls' parents'there was an attendance of well over 1000, filling the street for 100 yards on either side of the house. A service was conducted in front of the house by the Rev. R. Godfrey. There were over 130 vehicles in the funeral cortege and several hundred wreaths filled the funeral coach and two other cars. i
