BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING The .monthly meeting of the Green Island Borough Council was held last night, when there were present: The * Mayor (Cr G. A. Orange) abd'CiSPT. 3 McAhan, J. Callery, E. Hopewell,, T. ,; Robson. F. Johns. J. Boomer, and C. ; R. Freeman. Finance • '< Accounts amounting to ,£,1206 7s 9d were passed for,payment. It was decided that the council should pay £l4 towards the work of the Emergency Precautions Committee, but thit a request should be made that the council should have representation on the committee. Committee Reports Reports on the work carried out during the month were received from the following committees:—Public Works. Water and Lighting. Reserves, and Cemetery Finance. Drainage and Kinema, and extensive reports were also received *rom the engineer foreman. Complaints had been received that ; stray dogs had been digging up the plots in the cemetery, and it was decided that poison should be laid,.
