CLASSES FOR MOTHERS
PROPOSALS BEFORE HOSPITAL BOARD (Per United Press Association; ASHBURTON Aug 14. A scheme for the setting up of classes to teach exercises designed to help expectant mothers before and during confinement, and to build up their general health to aid them to easier settling down of routine duties at home after childbirth was placed before the Ashburton Hospital Board to-day by Mrs A N Grigg. who waited on the board. Members were unanimous, regarding the benefits of such classes, and agreed that an officer of the hospital staff should investigate the scheme with a view to the early establishment of classes.
