ATLANTIC FLIGHT
ATTEMPT BY AMERICANS NOVA SCOTIA TO IRELAND ST. PETER'S. (Nova Scotia), Aug. 11. Two New York aviators, Alex Loeb, aged 32, and Dick Deceker, aged 23,- announcing their destination as Ireland, took off from Point Michaud Beach in a Ryan monoplane carrying SSO gallons of petrol at 9.04 E.S.T. They remarked prior to departure that they were friends of Corngan. "He save us many valuable pointers." HOPE FOR FLYERS ABANDONED LONDON, Aug. 13. (Received Aug. 14, at 1.30 a.m.) The Admiralty announced that hope has been abandoned for the Atlantic flyers Loeb and Deceker. They'should have arrived about noon on Saturday. Ships have been warned to keep a look out, but the only hope is that they have been picked ud by a ship without wireless.
