Ministerial The Postmaster-general (Mr F. Jones), accompanied by Mrs Jones and his private secretary (Mr F. Sherwood), arrived by motor car from the north yesterday! The Minister will receive deputations to-day and to-morrow morning he will officially open the new assembly, hall of the King s High School. Mr P. Neilson M.P.. and Mr J. W. Munro. M.P.. were passengers from the north by Saturday's express.

Lewis for Christchurch, and Mr C. W. Young for Auckland. Southbound passengers were Mr D H. Sawyers from Auckland, Mr C. H Dyer, Mr F. Paton and Mr R. C. Burgess from Wellington, and Mr S. Brown, Miss K. Brown, Mr D. Elliot. Mr A. Smillie and Mr F. C. Christie from Christchurch.
