CHORAL COMPETITIONS
PRESBYTERIAN BIBLE CLASSES The second and final session of the Presbyterian Bible class choral competitions was held in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on Saturday night, when the same high standard as was set the first night was maintained in all the sections. Special thanks are due to the judges, Mr G. Scott, Mr C. Roy Spackman, the Revs. A. M. Elliffe, C. M. Sullivan, and R. T. Dodds, and to the official accompanist, Miss Olive Perry. The following are the results:—■ Ladies' Solo (under 18): Miss M. Paine (South Dunedin) 1, Miss June McCall (Maori Hill) 2, Miss Evelyn Clyde (Roslyn) 3. Ladias' Duet: Misses E. Thompson and A. Clarke >(Knox) 1, Misses A. Gregory and J. Maydon (Maori Hill) 2, Misses E. Hewitson and R. Macdonald (Sawyers' Bay) and Misses J. Henderson and R. Lunam (Musselburgh), equal, 3. Men's Solo: Mr Colville Angus (Anderson's Bay) 1, Mr Ronald Flamank (North-East Valley) 2, Mr A. Hanna (Kaikorai) 3. Double Quartet: Anderson's Bay 1, Knox 2, Musselburgh 3. Class Choir: Macandrew Bay 1, Anderson's Bay 2, Knox 3. Instrumental Solo: Mr D. Jensen (Macandrew Bay 1, Mr F. W. Mitchell (Maori Hill) 2. Piano Solo: Mr Rai McNicol (Musselburgh) l.Miss J. The class competition was won by the Knox classes with 45J points, Anderson's Bay (38J points) was second, Musselburgh (30J points) third, and Maori Hill (22 points) fourth.
