LYRIC CHOIR
John T. Leech's Lyric Choir will present a diversified programme in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall tonight, which will include the "Kyrie" and "Gloria" from Gounod's "Messe Sollennelle." The trio in this esslesias. tica] music will be Dorothy Barron (soprano), S. Kavanagh (tenor) and John Devereux (baritone). Weber's "InvitatioHi to the Dance," transcribed by Julius Harrison, is a light-hearted piece that calls for a natural exuberance of voices. Other selections will be a patriotic ode by Ketelbey, "Men of England," Mozart's "Cradle Song' for women's voices, with Jean McLay as soloist. "Habnera" for solo and chorus. Phyllis Clare. L.T.C.L., in the solo part, a beautiful "Ave Maria by Santley (soloist, Ray Marshall), the humorous "Traction Engine" and a captivating tattoo. "The Campbells Are Ccmin'." The assisting.artists will be Olive C?.n:p!:ell 'solo pianist), who will p-av C'rrp'n's' in Ab major Tussell J. L".u.er.:on (baritone), who will s.nr " Ecwr.rd," by Loewe, and Norma Brown, who will recite "Ojistoh." Anne While (soprano) selects Liszt's " Die Lorelei," and Helen Roy and Mrs Alex. Chisholm will be heard in a duet by Mendelssohn. Miss Sybil Baker will be the accompanist. Details are advertised.
