OUTPUT OF NEW VESSELS BELOW REQUIREMENTS
BERLIN, Aug. 11. Dr Hoffman, president of the Ham-burg-Arnenka Line, states that more than 70 per cent, of German merchantmen is over 10 years of age. The total construction is 1,000,000 tons less than reauirements, contrasting with the efforts of competitors, on whose reqirements German shipyards are concentrated.
