TAXI DRIVERS
STRIKE AT HAMILTON DISPUTE OVER WAGES AND HOURS (Per United Press Association) HAMILTON, Aug. 11. Dissatisfaction with the wages and hours resulted in 20 drivers of the Checker Cab Company striking at mid-afternoon to-day The men allege that the proprietor refuses to negotiate and the secretary of the Auckland Drivers’ Union stated that the men would stay out until the company agrees to negotiate.
