RADIO TELEPHONE
SERVICE ACROSS TASMAN HOURS TO BE EXTENDED SYDNEY, Aug. 11. (Received Aug. 11, at 11.55 p.m.) It has been officially announced that the hours for the radio telephone service between Sydney and New Zealand are to be extended to 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Sydney time) owing to the increasing demand for this service. The number of calls increased from 305 in the first year of operation to 2609 for the year ended June 30, 1939.
