MAN IN IRON LUNG
MARRIAGE ANNOUNCED SERVICE BESIDE RESPIRATOR CHICAGO, Aug. 10. Mr Fred Snite, a victim of infantile paralysis was married to-day, reclining from his iron lung. About a dozen friends and relatives stood beside the respirator during the service, after which the wedding breakfast, at which the bride assisted the husband, was held. Mr Snite, who has been living for nearly two years in the so-called iron lung, obtained a licence to marry Theresa Larkin (25), his sister’s schoolmate. Theresa was a frequent visitor to the Snite home both before and after Fred was •tricken.
