FARMER CHASING BOYS Pellets from a gun narrowly missed John Smith, aged 63. farmer, of Nazeing. Essex, while he was chasing three bovs from his land. There was a sequel at Chelmsford Assizes when Nathaniel Godwin, aged 17. of Leyton denied a charge of shooting with intent to disable Mr Smith, and was bound over on a charge of common assault. It was pleaded that the gun trigger caught in Godwin’s pocket.
