The monthly meeting of the Awa-moa-Alma Institute was presided over by Miss Ross. The roll call brought forth many suggestions for the forthcoming flower show. Songs were rendered by Mrs George. The competitions resulted:—Best bloom-Mrs O S. Mills 1 Mrs M. Fulton 2, Mrs J. Keating 3; sugar bag—Mesdames Dalziel 1, M Fulton 2, and J. Keating 3; humpty— Miss Mills 1, Mrs George 2, Mrs Mcßeath 3. The hostesses ■ were Mesdames Cowan, Dalziel. and Barr. Mesdames Robinson, M. Martin, and B. Fulton won other competitions.
