Rifle Shooting The fourth cup match of the Tapanui Defence Club was fired on Saturday, when the conditions were favourable, and in consequence some good shooting was registered. The following were the scores: —

The following range prizes were won; 300yds, E. C. Sim; 500yds, J. Black; and 600yds, E. C. Sim. In conjunction with the above match the second series for the City Guards Shield was also fired. The conditions were 10 shots at 300 and 500 yards, a team to consist of 10 men, eight highest scores to count. The details were as follows: — 300 500

W. Hancox 87 and D. Kane 84 were counted out. Land Sale Messrs Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., report having sold Mr A. G. Dumbleton’s freehold farm, being part of the old Brooksdale estate, comprising 370 acres, to Mr J. A. Bowman, of Tapanui.
