ATTACKED IN GARAGE

SALESMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED MYSTERIOUS OCCURRENCE (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 7. Attacked by two men who entered a garage in Farrar street, off Richmond road, at 11.30 last night, George A. North, aged 34, a salesman, of Newton, was battered about the head and left lying in the garage which his assailants locked. North eventually forced the doors open and went to a nearby motorist for assistance. After being attended to by Dr Dreadon he was sent to the hospital. His condition is serious. The affair is a complete mystery. North had £25 in his pockets, but the money was not taken by his assailants.
