MAN IN “IRON LUNG” PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES LONDON, May 30. The “ man in the iron lung,” Frederick Snite, of Chicago, who travelled last year from China to America in an “ iron lung ” for treatment, has arrived at Havre, says the correspondent of the Daily Telegraph, on his way to Lourdes, hoping for a miraculous recovery. With him are a doctor, six nurses, and an “ iron lung ” specialist. The convoy, which cost £SOOO, includes Suite’s special caravan and a lorry carrying two spare “ lungs,” electrical equipment, 23 motors and six accumulators.
