MR GANDHI'S ATTITUDE
A NOTICEABLE CHANGE TRIUMPH OF COMMON SENSE LONDON, June 5. The Bombay correspondent of The Times says Mr Gandhi enunciated his policy dealing with Indian States. It embraces indefinite suspension of mass civil disobedience, honourable negotiations with the authorities, and lowering the pitch of immediate demands.
The Times describes this declaration as of paramount importance, as it means the return of the former Congress policy of non-intervention and triumph of reason and commonsense in Mr Gandhi's attitude.
