CHANG'S MYSTIC REVUE
Mystery, spectacle and music are blended in Chang's mystic. Chinese Revue, to be opened at His Majesty's Theatre, Dunedin, for a season of five nights, from June 14 to June 19. "A Trip to Hades " is the title of the offering, which includes no fewer than 28 colourful scenes, all produced on lavish scale. The continuity is preserved .in the form of a revue, which serves as a background for Chang's "magic." The tricks are cleverly worked in with the revue, so that they serve largely as a means of not only a first-rate illusionist, but he has the power, according to advance reports, to raise "ghosts" which he allows to wander round the theatre at large. The talented Broadway dancer, Joanna Claire, is the leading lady in the revue, and she has with her a highly competent ballet. Also included in the large company are a number of imported specialty acts. Music for the show is provided by the Cuban Marimba Orchestra.
