CONFESSIONAL CHURCH PERSECUTION OF PASTORS LONDON, May 30. The German secret police use every terroristic method to crush the Confessional Church, according to the Manchester Guardian's Berlin correspondent. Ministerial candidates are compelled to register on a document equivalent to a renunciation of confessional theology. Only 10 per cent, have registered, and the remainder have been prevented from entering the ministry. Forty pastors who publicly opposed the registration decree have been seized, and they are threatened with work on the fortifications. Others, forbidden to preach, wander in the streets and hold services in private houses.
