CREW OF WRECKED LUGGER ARRIVAL AT DARWIN DARWIN, May 17. Exhausted after a nightmare voyage of 13 days in a leaking dinghy, during which they constantly faced death from drowning, sharks, and starvation, the four members of the crew of the wrecked lugger arrived at Darwin, After the lugger was wrecked the men were at the mercy of the tides. Eventually the dinghy was smashed to pieces on a rocky point near Point Charles. The men staggered into a peanut farm in a pitiable plight. A cablegram received on May 15 stated: A Darwin message states that the four men whose lugger v/as wrecked a fortnight ago on Horseshoe Reef, about 50 miles southwest of Darwin, are now at Point Charles, suffering seriously from the privations they endured. One is blinded by sand-blight. From the meagre details available it appears that the men were sailing the lugger from Broome to Darwin when it was wrecked. The men lost all their provisions, but made their way to Grose Island and eventually staggered into a farm near Point Charles. ROBBERY AT POST OFFICE BURGLARS USE EXPLOSIVES SYDNEY, May 17.
