A NEGLIGENT DRIVER
CAUSING BODILY INJURY NINE MONTHS’ IMPRISONMENT (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 26. Thomas George Hannam, aged 26, of Palmerston North, was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment by Mr Justice Ostler on a charge of negligent driving causing bodily injury. His Honor said that a terrible toll of life was being taken on the roads, mostly by men with no sense of responsibility and regard for the rights of others or realisation of their duty" to their fellowmen.
