FINE PLAY BY TANNOCK ROSS’S FIRST DEFEAT IN OPEN EVENT (Per United Press Association) PALMERSTON N., Jan. 26. Conditions were again favourable today for the Dominion croquet tournament. J. Tannock (Dunedin) and H. Penn (Christchurch) provided the most spectacular games of the day. A. G. Ross suffered his first defeat in the open event. Mrs Pitcaithly (Hastings) was his opponent.
