NEW SOUTH WALES TITLE ELEVENTH ROUND PLAYED SYDNEY, Jan. 7. In the eleventh round of the chess championship Gyles defeated R. Ward (New South Wales). Koshpitsky defeated Growl, and with one round to play has an unassailable lead. Purdy lost his third game when he was defeated by the Victorian, Watson, and with two unfinished games to play can at the best only tie for second place with Watson.
