(Received Jan. 8, at 8 p.m.) At North Sydney Olympic Pool on Saturday night the Hawaiian swimmer Kiyoshi Nakama made his debut by winning the 440 Yards New South Wales Championship by less than a yard from Bobbin Biddulph, of Manly, with Noel Ryan, of Manly third. Nakama’s time of 4min 52sec equalled the Australian record made by the American champion, - Medica, in January, 1937. Biddulph’s time was 4min 53sec and Ryan’s smin 6 l-ssec.
