TRAIN DISASTER
COLLISION IN RUMANIA EIGHTY PEOPLE KILLED STATIONMASTER ARRESTED (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) BUCHAREST, Dec. 25. (Received Dec. 26, at 11 p.m.) Eighty people were killed and 40 injured in a collision between a passenger train and a goods train at Chisinau, formerly Kishinev the scene of an extensive pogrom in 1903. The stationmaster has been arrested. Terrific snowstorms which reduced visibility to zero were responsible for this and a collision near Cluj, killing a fireman and four passengers. Interruption to communications delays the receipt of details.
