SUNDAY SERVICES
The Rev. D. C. Herron, M.A.. will . conduct Christmas services at Knox Church to-morrow. The evening subject is entitled "By Another Way." . Christmas Day services will be conducted in First Church to- - morrow by the Rev. W. Allen Stevely. In the morning the sub- , ject will be " The Inn," and the sOlo, "The Birthday of a King" will be sung. In the evening the subject will be "Christmas Customs," and the recitative and aria, "Comfort Ye" and "Every Valley," will be sung. At the close of the service ' Miss Mavis Macdonald will give an organ recital, in the course of which the quartet will sing. The services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church will be taken by the Rev. J. Ewen Simpson, who will speak, in the morning, on " The Sign of the Divine," and in the .evening on "The Word Was Made Flesh." At the close of the evening, service' Miss Pearl Westland, L.R.S.M., will give a short organ recital of Christmas music, and Master Blair Thomp- • son (boy soprano) will sing "The .: Holy Child." At the church of St. Bernard of Clairvaux (Liberal Catholic),, a special Prime Service will be held, . and the sermon will be given by Mr ' Noel S. Jenkin, of Invercargill, his subject being "A Spiritual View of Christmas." * Christmas services will, be conducted at the Maori Presbyterian Church to-morrow by the Rev. A. C. W. Standage, the subjects being "Peace on' Earth" and "Christ's Example of Humility." Christmas services will be conducted at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, to-morrow, by the Rev. Basil Metson, whose subjects will be "No Room for Christ" and "The Wise Men and' the Star." At the Congregational Church,' Moray place, to-morrow, Professor S. F. Hunter will conduct both morning and evening services. In the morning there will be a duet by the Misses Thorn and a solo by Mr Roland Dunbar, and in the evening . there will be a solo by Mr V. B.< Smith. The preacher in St, Stephen's Presbyterian Church, morning and evening, will be the Rev. Thomas Miller. At the morning service his subject will be "The First Christmas Carol," and in the evening his subject will be " The Name, Wonderful." At the Spiritualist Church, St. Andrew street, to-morrow evening, Mr A. W. Stables will speak on " The Spirit of Christmas." The healing class will not meet next Monday. The Rev. C. G. Hedley Bycroft will conduct to-morrow's services at the United Congregational Church, Albany street. " Three Wonders of the First Christmas" will'be the morning topic, and in the evening " Three Gifts to Christ." At the Greater World Spiritualist Mission, .38 King street, the • Rev. Gertrude Brooks will speak on the subject "Christ Born—the New Age Message." Clairvoyance and the usual after circle meeting will follow. , , ....,'
