FOUR IN WAIRARAPA DISTRICT MAN'S SKULL FRACTURED THROWN FROM A CYCLE •Per United Press association) CARTERTON, Dec. 23. As the result of being flung from a motor cycle at Tauherenikau yesterday, Charles Victor BoL-tad, of Carterton, received a fractured skull and other injuries, and was admitted to Greytown Hospital. His condition is serious. After a collision between cars on Mangaroa Hill last night, Alec McKenzie, of Carterton, was admitted to a private hospital here suffering from severe cuts to the head and face. His condition is not serious. A transport lorry of the New Zealand Railways left the road and crashed through a fence at South Wairarapa last night. The driver was admitted to the Masterton Hospital suffering from cuts and bruises. His condition is not serious. A Wairarapa South county truck, driven by L. J. Williams, came into collision with a car driven by a Native, Hadfield, of Gladstone, on the Gladstone Bridge this morning. Neither driver was hurt, but Hadfield's wife, a passenger, received slight cuts. CARS COLLIDE EIGHT PERSONS INJURED TWO CHILDREN IN HOSPITAL (Per United I'kehs association i AUCKLAND, Dec. 23. Three adults and five children, including a baby boy aged four weeks, were injured when two motor cars collided at the corner of Gillies and Epsom avenues at about 8 a.m. The baby and one of the other children were the only ones who had to be admitted to the Auckland Hospital, the others escaping with shock or injuries which were treated at the Casualty Department of the Hospital. Those injured were as follows:~ Jack Dunbier, aged 32, a traveller, of Parkstone avenue, Mount Albert, shock Mrs Moria Dunbier, aged 26, lacerations to ear and shock. Murray Dunbier, aged three, and a baby boy belonging to Mr and Mrs Dunbier, shock. The baby also suffered concussion. Winifred Douglas, aged 11, lacerations to leg. Ivy Douglas, aged eight, was admitted with concussion and head injuries. Miss Eileen Douglas, aged 18, shock Ced'ric Sparks, aged 23, a miner employed by Glen Afton Collieries, laceration to the hand and faceOne car, driven by Sparks, was travelling along Gillies avenue towards the city, and the other, driven by Dunbier. was going along Epsom avenue towards Mount Eden. After the collision both cars turned over on to their sides. Dunbier's car came to rest against a telegraph pole. The hood was torn and the contents of the interior were piled in confusion. The other car had the front bumper bar ripped off, the right-hand mudguard crumpled, and the windows on the same side shattered.
