A compromise is reported to have been reached between the United States delegation and Argentina enabling the peace declaration to secure the unanimous approval of the 2i States It is understood that the final draft provides for consultation among all the States with a view to resistance when any republic is threatened with aggression from without the American continent’s defences, owing to Argentina’s wish not to offend European customers.
