SCHOOL VACATIONS

WAIIHOLA On the evening of December 5 the Waihola School’s i break-up ceremony was held. A lengthy and varied programme was promoted by the chi 1 - dren. and at the conclusion of the concert the chairman (Mr A Ruthvon) thanked all who Uad helped to make the function such a success. He paid a tribute to the touchers. Miss Lonie and Miss Munro far their good work during the year >, The chairman ana secretary presented every pupils iii the school with a prize, special prizes: being won by:— Joan Popham and Elaine Dewar; Sewing. James Jack Popham. and Thomas Sinclair; Gardening W Simpson’s special prize for the most improved pupil during, the season was won by James McKeajgg. After supoer. the hall was cleared for dancing, the music being 'upplied by Mr W Simpson.
