TRAGEDY ON RIVER
COLLISION IN DENSE FOG FERRY BOAT AND DREDGER THIRTY-SIX LIVES LOST (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LISBON, Dec. 20. (Received Dec. 21, at 1 a.m.) Thirty-six passengers are reported to have perished in a collision between the Tagus ferry boat Tonecas and the Italian dredger Finalamarino. In a dense fog the Tonecas was cut in two, and disappeared within three minutes. Most of the passengers were flung into the water and carried away in the swift current.
