R.A.F. CANDIDATES
SHORT-SERVICE COMMISSIONS NINETEEN SELECTED TO GO HOME * | (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 20. v The Minister of Defence (Mr F. Jones) announces that 19 candidates have been selected from all parts pf the Dominion for short service commissions in the R.A.F., and will sail by the Tainui on February 1. Ten are from Wigram. as follows:—G. IVF. Carey. C. McK, Hill. H. Keller, A. G. Macdonald, I. C. Patterson, P. W. Rabone, K. R. Sutton. P. Trolove, C. N. Whittington. G. J. D. York. Others are: —B. J. C. Jones, J. D. Murphy, H. W. Lamond, R, W. Gair, P. D. Smith, W. S. Rea, L. C. Lilley, W. F. Dawson and D. A. Rankine.
The following have been selected for service with the Air Force in the Dominion: —S. G. Quill, T. W. Delange. L. H. Higgins. G. K. Larney.
