MAGISTRATE’S COURT

Tuesday, December 20 (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) Judgment by Default Judgment for the plaintiff by default was entered as follows:—A. McKay v. James Scott £4 18s 6d and costs (£1 8s 6d), balance of money owing for goods supplied; the commissioner of Taxes v. Robert .George McTigue, £2l 4s 9d and costs (£1 12s), unpaid employment tax; R. Hannah and Co., Ltd,, v K. Hammond, of Christchurch. 11s 9d and costs (12s) for goods supplied: P. Fraser and Sons v. Arthur G. Renney, of Berwick £1 18s 8d and costs (12s). for goods supplied; Andrew Lees, Ltd., v, A Wilson, 15s 6d, and costs (8s), for goods supplied and work done; T. E. Mclnne.s v, Kathleen Casey, £4 13s 5d and costs (£1 3s 6d) for goods supplied Judgment Summonses Proceeded against on a judgment summons'by Hallenstcin Bros., Ltd., L. Fowler, who did not appear, was ordered to pay £4 7s 4d and costs (7s), in default four days’ imprisonment. T. W. Dobbie proceeded against William Gardiner on a judgment summons. Judgment debtor did not appear, and was ordered to pay £7 13s 6d and costs (11s) forthwith, in default eight days’ imprisonment. Herbert Edward McArthur proceeded against William Gibson, claiming £1 18s 6d on a judgment summons. The judgment debtor did not appear An order was made requiring the payment of the amount claimed and costs (6s), in default two days’ imprisonment.
