A GOOD SAVE
FIRE IN BISCUIT, FACTORY DAMAGE NOT EXTENSIVE (Feb United Press association) ' ' TIMARU, Dec. 19. A. good save was made by the Timiaru Fire Brigade when a fire occurred in the store of Messrs J. R. Bruce's i biscuit factory at 8.45 a.m. The-fire started in a gas-heated chocolate-coat-ing machine, which is in a separate department within the store. The • flames had a good hold of'the department and extended to the ceiling when the discovery was made. The brigade did excellent work u: confining the fire to a small area, as the adjoining buidings threatened by the flames contained the office and a complete mixing department. The most damage was done to sevei-al hundred biscuit tins by smoke and water. Fortunately, the Christmas orders have been executed. The insurances are not known,
