DESTROYED BY FIRE
FIVE-ROOMED DWELLING SICK GIRL'S TIMELY RESCUE (Peb United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 18. Their home and every household article they owned were lost by Mr and Mrs William Willmot, of Swanson, in a fire which broke out early this morning and almost trapped them in their beds. Also in the five-roomed house was their sick daughter, Gladys Willmot, aged 16, who had to be rescued from her burning bedroom. The fire spread so rapidly that the house was destroyed within 12 minutes. There was no insurance on the furniture. All their money was lost in the fire.
