NEW ZEALAND MONEY
RECEPTION IN AUSTRALIA NO LARGE AMOUNTS EXCHANGED SYDNEY, Dec. 18. (Received Dec. 18, at 10 p.m.) The Sun states that New Zealand tourists can find Australian money for necessities, according to banking circles, but that large amounts will not be exchanged because it would assist speculators. The Sydney banks generally are not exchanging New Zealand notes sent or brought from New Zealand since December 7, but where hardship would have resulted many persons have been allowed to cash small amounts*
